Our neighbour recently had their home broken into, and we were advised to upgrade our locks to prevent this from happening to us. Stephen at SF Locksmiths provided a quote over the phone and attended the next day. I was delighted with the service and he gave a thorough explanation of what he was doing and why it was so important. If you are looking for the services of a locksmith in Rotherham, I can not recommend them enough.

Excellent service, rang early morning with door problem, door stuck shut refusing to open, and he was with me within 45 mins and 20 mins later had the problem sorted including new locking system and door adjustment to quoted price.

After trying to fix the issue myself using tips and tricks I found online I gave up and phoned Steve. It was not one of the usual problems you get with patio doors as the locking mechanism had failed within the door (not the barrel). He was professional and considerate while in our house and completed the work with little to no damage around the offending area and cleaned up after himself. He had all the replacement parts we needed in his van and the total cost with parts was within his original estimation. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to my friends or family!

Second time we have used this service and  both times it has been very efficient, polite and good job done. The 1st time we used him my daughter needed her locks changing quickly and he was at her house within half hour we was so impressed we also called him out to our back door, same again great job done.

Arrived on time and rapidly fitted a new door mechanism as expected, but then spent additional time ‘tuning’ the door to ensure a perfect closure and eliminate the faults that had caused the problem in the first place. I called Stephen when I had a problem with my father locking his carers out by mistake. Stephen recommended a different type of lock over the phone. He came to the house at exactly the time he said and went through all the locks, giving us anti-theft advice as he did so. He even re-assembled one of the door handles that had been incorrectly put together. I needed the lock changing in our uPVC front door as our son had his key stolen. On the phone Stephen explained it was only a 2 minute job and gave a very reasonable price of £70 considering the other quote I got was around £90. Our UPVC door was locked shut and the handle was turning a full 360 degrees. We've never been a customer of Steve's but he came round just half an hour after we called him.
