Moving is consistently listed as one of the most stressful of life’s events.  There are many tasks to do. They involve solicitors, banks, estate agents, removal companies, utilities, etc. But change your locks soon. You cannot know how many people have keys to your house. It’s good to have the best locks and doors. But, if someone else has a copy of the key and they can walk in, it’s all for nothing. Someone may have given the keys to neighbours, friends, a cleaner, or a tradesman. The previous occupants haven’t gotten them all back. All locks we fit will be British Standard, if not better, and should you need extra keys, extras can be cut simultaneously.

When can you change the locks?

Believe it or not, if you ring in advance, I can change the locks the same day you move in. I’m used to dancing around the removal men. I recommend upgrading to high-security versions on uPVC and British Standard 5 lever on wooden doors. There will also be a chance to ask any questions you have about security recommendations while I’m there.
